Sesame Street Parody MCM

My kids were watching Sesame Street Video Clips, and I heard this come on. I laughed so hard I cried. I love it so much!

I'm sure you've heard the original, but just in case, here it is. When I first heard this song, I had no idea what on earth popping tags was. Apparently popping tags is when you go to a thrift shop and take the tags off of something, then you go to the cashier and ask how much it is (since the tag is missing) in hopes that the price they come up with will be lower. That's not my thrift store strategy, but I just love that this song makes thrift store shopping cool because I don't usually get to be cool.

Last year I would hear kids in my class singing this song, and I'd join in. They were always shocked because apparently teachers all live under rocks. When I sang it, I changed some of the words (ie. this is really awesome, and big old coat). One kid looked at me and said, "that's not what it really says."

Be sure to go visit Techie Turtle Teacher for more fun video clips.
