Why I Teach

I teach because there is nothing else I could do. I don't mean I am incapable. What I mean is that I am compelled to teach. It's my calling. It gives me a sense of purpose. I know I am making a contribution to society when I teach.

I believe that education is the solution to many of the world's troubles. There is a reason oppressed people are often denied education. It is much easier to oppress and manipulate an uneducated group of people. Giving people access to a quality education is essential for equality among people.

If we want others to be happy, healthy and safe, we need to provide a quality education. If we want to be happy, healthy and safe, we need to be surrounded by others who are happy, healthy, and safe.

I teach to make the world a better place.
