Maybe Someday in the Future...

I wonder how other TPT sellers decided to open stores. My TPT store was pretty much opened on a whim. I hadn't done any research or planning. I'd spend quite a bit of time making things to go in my classroom, and it seemed like all that effort should have a bigger impact. Making enough profit to actually improve my life never really crossed my mind. Recently I've put more effort into creating and marketing for TPT, but I'd never really considered what I'd like to do if I somehow had any success. At first I thought I might skip this part of the #tptsellerchallenge, but I've been enjoying reading about other sellers' dreams, so here we go!

Hire help is just a quick way of saying hire people to do stuff I don't like doing. Mostly cleaning. I hate cleaning. And yard work.  Pretty much all property maintenance. I love spending time with my kids, but I'd love to be able to hire a babysitter once in a while.

My children are educated in public school, but I'd like to be able to send them to camps in the summer. They love music, and I wish I could enroll them in more music classes. My son likes taekwondo, but we're taking a break from it right now. I also want to take them places and give them experiences.

Finally, I just want to stop being stressed. I want to be able to give gifts for special occassions without worrying about the price tag. I want to be able to buy little things like books, shoes, and dinner without anxiety over the cost. I don't want to live in fear of the refrigerator breaking down or our renters moving out.

That's really it. I like my house, my job, and my car. I probably worry too much.
Daycare is expensive.

  1. I can relate to your goal of stressing less! I am a worrier, too! I hope TPT can help me have less penny pinching in my future!

  2. I started my store the same way you did. I had all these investigations and wanted to share them. I felt others would find them useful. Now it is becoming more and I am hoping to have life just a little bit easier. Although I would say it is busier as I put more time into my store.
